Dancing with the Sacred Pause Before New Beginnings

Are you currently feeling a sense of endings, or things falling away, but the path forward is not yet clear?

That could be because we are in a time of beginnings and endings, all mixed into one.

  • March 29, we have yet another eclipse (Aries New Moon Solar Eclipse), which signals new, exciting beginnings.
  • Last week’s Spring Equinox (March 20) also brought rebirth, renewal, and new beginnings.
  • However, this week’s movements of Neptune, Venus and Mercury on the final degree of the zodiac (29º of Pisces) heralds endings.

If you’re feeling like things are unexpectedly falling away in your life, while new ideas, hopes and dreams are sprouting… you are right on time.

🌱 Don’t give up—newness is coming. 🌱

The Power of the 29th Degree

In the delicate dance between endings and beginnings, we find ourselves in a profound collective moment of transition. As the sun, moon and planets weave their intricate patterns above, we feel their movements reflected in our earthly experiences—friendships dissolving, projects concluding, contracts completing their natural cycles. Yet within this space of completion lies new beginnings, hope, and the sacred seed of what’s to come.

Even though the Sun has moved into Aries, marking the Spring Equinox, three major planets—Neptune, Mercury, and Venus—are engaged in a cosmic dance around the 29th degree of Pisces. This creates a week where we’re simultaneously experiencing the promise of spring while being asked to complete important cycles of release.

The 29th degree of Pisces represents the final point in the entire zodiacal journey—it’s the ultimate culmination point before rebirth. When planets pause here, they bring powerful ending energy that impacts us in both a personal and collective level.

Why These Three Planets Matter Right Now

Neptune, the ruler of Pisces, is moving slowly through this final degree until March 30th before finally entering Aries. This creates a dreamy, sometimes foggy energy where boundaries dissolve and we’re asked to surrender what’s complete.

Mercury, which briefly touched Aries, is now retrograding back to this final Piscean degree (reaching it on March 29th) and will remain in Pisces until April 17th. This influences our thinking and communication, bringing our attention to unfinished business and incomplete conversations.

Venus joins this gathering at the 29th degree on March 27th and remains in Pisces until April 30th. This affects our relationships, finances, and values—highlighting where we may need closure, to re-evaluate, or completion before moving forward.

When three planets converge at this significant degree, we experience a collective moment of endings. You might notice relationships transforming, or unexpected endings or completions. You may also notice that you are being called to shed something in the physical or emotional realm, which may lead to the grief that naturally accompanies endings.

All of these clearings are preparing space for new growth, which the Equinox and the Aries Solar Eclipse will bring.

The Hidden Gift in These Endings

These next few weeks offer a profound spiritual opportunity. As external structures complete their natural cycle, we’re invited to reconnect with our essential nature—the blueprint of our soul that remains constant beneath changing circumstances.

From this authentic reconnection, we gain clarity about what truly belongs in our next chapter. Having released what’s complete, we can intentionally plant seeds for our future from a place of alignment, knowing they’ll grow into experiences that better reflect our true essence.

While endings may bring temporary discomfort, remember they’re necessary—creating fertile soil for what wants to emerge next in your life. By honoring what’s completing now, you prepare the ground for a more aligned expression of your authentic self to blossom in the coming season.

Three Sacred Practices for Navigating Endings & Transitions

1. Spring Cleaning for Body, Mind & Spirit

Honor this time of transition, endings and beginnings through sacred purification rituals.

  • Clean and tidy up your physical spaces, removing dust and clutter that accumulated during winter’s stillness. “Bad vibes” can hang around dusty, neglected corners, so ensure to deep clean anywhere you want to brighten up your space.
  • Purify your physical and energetic body. I love taking intentional spiritual baths with Epsom salts and essential oils. Consider adding organic herbs or rose petals to your bath as you consciously release what’s completing, while calling in your beautiful, radiant new chapter.
  • Clear your auric field with sustainably sourced sacred plants like Palo Santo, sage, or cedar.
  • Practice light sourcing meditation—visualize divine light washing through your being, transmuting energies that no longer serve and returning to your sovereign essence.

2. Plant Allies for Heart Healing

Turn to the wisdom of plants to soothe the heart during times of release and transition.

  • Rose preparations—whether as tea, syrup, or elixir—offer profound support for grief and heartache. Rose throughout history has been an herb associated with heart healing, compassion, and nourishment.
  • Adaptogenic herbs like ashwagandha, rhodiola, and maca strengthen resilience. I like to use these in powder form in smoothies, teas or hot cocoa, which can also be very nourishing during these times.
  • Medicinal mushrooms including reishi, cordyceps, lion’s mane, and turkey tail fortify the immune system and spirit. I use these in powder form as well.
  • Milky oats or oat tops are wonderful to create nourishing tea blends. I am currently sipping on a beautiful mixture of oat tops, hibiscus, and butterfly pea flower to provide deep soulful sustenance during this time of change. It’s also a gorgeous deep purple color that brings so much joy to me, every time I sip it!

3. Remember Your Sacred Purpose

When external structures dissolve and familiar paths disappear, reconnect with your deepest purpose.

  • Set aside time for contemplative practices with a specific focus on your life mission.
  • Light a candle, open your journal, and ask: “What is my deepest purpose?”
  • If it’s part of your spiritual practice, consider communing with ancestors or using tarot or oracle cards to illuminate your core mission.

Your divine purpose remains unchanged regardless of what falls away externally. Whether you’re here to spread beauty, share knowledge, or support healing—let this essential purpose be your anchor through changing tides.

I know that for me, my purpose is deeply woven into supporting the healing of our planet and the resurrection of feminine wisdom. This sacred mission expresses itself through many channels—from my work as an international sustainability attorney protecting the precious elements of water, air and soil that sustain all life, to my role as a feminine energy guide, helping women reclaim their innate power, abundance, radiance and beauty.

What is your mission? What is your energetic blueprint, and why were you put onto this Earth? Remembering these core truths can be a salve during these times.
